Launched in January 2012, Hang Meas TV is a free-to-air terrestrial television channel broadcasting from Phnom Penh. It has a nationwide coverage and can be accessed online and by satellite. It belongs to Hang Meas Video Company, one of the first production houses in Cambodia, which was established in 1994.
The programming focuses mainly on entertainment. However, its morning news time slot is the most popular for its viewers [CMRD, 2015]. In urban areas, Hang Meas TV is as popular as Bayon TV [BBC Media Action, 2014]. Hang Meas TV has a sister channel called Reaksmey Hang Meas TV and 2 affiliated radio stations.
