Launched in 2013, CTV8 is a free-to-air terrestrial television channel. It covers Phnom Penh, and 5 other provinces. Its most popular programs are Chinese Korean series during prime time and Chinese series during lunch break time and at night (CMRD, 2015). While CTV8 aims to become a key player in TV broadcasting industry in Cambodia, it now holds 3% of the total TV audience shares in Cambodia [CMRD, 2015] and belongs to the PPCTV Co., Ltd.
